Huge Doll Pyramid in Japan for Girls’ Day Festival 2023
A 7-meter-high doll pyramid adorns the Elumi Kounosu Shopping Mall in Konosu City on March 3, 2023, in Saitama, Japan. To commemorate Hinamatsuri, also known as Doll's Day or Girls' Day, which is celebrated on March 3rd, 1,800 Hina-ningyo (a kind of Japanese doll) are on display on 31 levels of a giant pyramid in the mall's main area. Every year, families display the dolls in their homes as a wish for the daughters' health and wellbeing. Konosu City is known as ''Doll Town'' because there are numerous factories there that produce Japanese dolls. From February 17 through March 4, the show is open.
