The number of people killed in a Russian missile attack on a residential building in Zaporizhzhia has increased to 13.

Video shot on Saturday 4 March showed emergency workers at the damaged building, hit in an early morning strike on Thursday 2 March.

Officials say local services have removed more than 853 tonnes of debris, that 100 residents and their relatives have been supported by psychologists of the State Emergency Service, and that over 250 people have used the nearby heating point since the attack happened.

Heating points are temporary locations, either buildings or tents, that provide heat, some electricity, and a place to gather.

The State Emergency Service said it also rescued 11 people, as well as four cats and a dog, from the destroyed building.

Tragically, they also found the bodies of 13 people, including an eight-month-old child.

Dozens of rescuers were involved in the effort, supported by heavy equipment.

Works are ongoing. Communal services removed more than 853 tons of construction debris. Psychologists of the State Emergency Service in the city of the event provided assistance to 100 residents of the building and relatives of the victims.

Starting from March 2, more than 250 people turned to the Heating Point, which was deployed by rescuers.

Employees of the State Emergency Service rescued 11 people, as well as four cats and a dog.

From under the rubble of the building, specialists of the State Emergency Service unblocked the bodies of 13 dead people, including an 8-month-old child.

In total, 101 employees from various services and 23 pieces of equipment were involved in the work, including 60 rescuers and 13 pieces of equipment from the State Emergency Service.
