Even Red Tide Couldn't Keep Hundreds from Attending the Downtown Sarasota Blues Festival
Hundreds of fans turned out for the Downtown Sarasota Blues Festival Saturday despite the presence of red tide in a nearby marina that irritated the lungs and eyes of some concert-goers. Red tide has been so pervasive for months in Southwest Florida that one of the bands even performed a song called "The Red Tide Blues". The Blues Festival opened Friday and closes Sunday evening. This video, which features South Florida Blues favorite Joey Gilmore and his band was recorded on Saturday.
