A railway staff performed the Heimlich manoeuvre to save a toddler choking on a sausage at a train station in southern China.

CCTV footage filmed in the city of Chengdu in Sichuan Province on March 6 shows a woman carrying her 2-year-old who was choking on a sausage to ask for help from the staff members at a train station.

A train station employee then held the child and performed the Heimlich manoeuvre to stop them from choking.

According to reports, the toddler choked on a sausage and could not breathe.

The child was saved in less than two minutes and they are alright now.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
