A large gathering of students, women's march participants, citizens, and opposition representatives have converged in front of Georgia's legislature on Rustaveli Avenue on Wednesday (March 8) to protest against a new law from Russia. The protesters, who chanted "No to Russian Law," "Georgia," "More Women in Parliament," and "No to Total Control," expressed their dissatisfaction with the legislation that they say undermines their country's sovereignty.

Drone footage here shows the rally in effect.

During the rally, the Georgian anthem was performed, and speeches were delivered by various leaders. Protesters called for the protection of their European choices, arguing that Europe is their constitutional choice and that Russian law is an attempt to take away their freedom. The demonstration, which was peaceful, aimed to send a message to lawmakers that they should prioritize the interests of their constituents over those of foreign powers.
