A massive group of monkeys crossed a road, blocking the vehicles in southwestern China.

The video was filmed in Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province on March 6.

A motorist named Gao witnessed a spectacular scene with around two or three hundred monkeys crossing a mountain road when she was driving to work.

Gao said: "The monkeys were not afraid of cars or people and some were even standing in the middle of the road to eat."

Ms Gao was excited by the scene that she stopped for about 10 minutes to watch.

近日，云南楚雄。高女士驱车上班，途经一山区公路时，遇到猴群浩浩荡荡下山，横穿马路拦停车辆。高女士说这些都是野生猴子，之前听说过此处常有猴子出没，这次真遇到了壮观场面，猴子可能有两三百只，山上还有一些没下来的，它们不怕车也不怕人，有的猴子还站在路中间吃东西。当时看到这一幕很激动，在那里停了有十分钟左右。视频由高女士提供。
