At least 30,000 protesters joined rallies in Tbilisi for the third day on Thursday, March 9. Despite the government having dropped the controversial ‘foreign agent bill’ earlier that day, people gathered to call for early parliamentary elections and government reforms to progress towards EU membership.

More protests are planned on Friday at noon when the bill would be formally withdrawn.
