The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, joined the St Patrick’s Day Parade in the centre of the capital on Sunday 12 March.

The parade brought together a wide range of groups, representing different communities and nationalities, as well as Irish marching bands, dance troupes and pageantry.

The annual event celebrates the contributions of generations of Irish people to London.

Organisers predicted over 50,000 attendees for the procession, which started at Hyde Park Corner before making its way to Trafalgar Square where a stage and stalls were set up for people to enjoy live performances, children's events, food and other attractions.
