This is the dramatic moment police arrested a drug-crazed Korean man for allegedly detaining and assaulting his Thai girlfriend.

Cops raided the condominium in Pattaya after receiving a report from a concerned friend on March 12 at 5 PM.

The friend told police that the unnamed Thai woman, 26, had moved in with the tourist hoping for a dream marriage in Seoul. However, she, pleaded for help claiming she was being held against her will by her Korean boyfriend, Seung Hak Cheon, 40.

Police from the Bang Lamung district station rushed to the building with paramedics and reporters.

Before the confrontation, they set up an air bed at the base of the building, fearing the alleged abuser would hurl his girlfriend out the window of the fifth-floor room.

They then trooped outside the couple's unit and tried to negotiate with the suspect who had barricaded himself inside.

The police asked condominium staff to cut off electricity and water in the room to further pressure him to surrender, but the Korean man still refused to let anyone in.

When negotiations failed, the officers broke down the door.

Dramatic footage shows how a rescue team stormed inside the room and caught Seung Hak Cheon, who did not resist arrest. They found his girlfriend with her hair cut haphazardly and sporting a black eye.

Also found in the room were two small bags of meth and several pieces of drug paraphernalia.

The couple were taken to the local police station.

However, Seung Hak Cheon's statements could not be understood, while his girlfriend was too shaken to give a testimony. They both allegedly admitted to using drugs, but denied ownership of the contraband.

Police said they will be investigating further before filing charges against them.
