Weird Thai jungle soup cooked up in remote village
This weird Thai jungle soup was cooked up in a remote village.
Footage shows a local putting in a hot rock on a spicy mixture of boiling water, herbs, and fish in Chiang Mai province close to the border with Communist China on February 20.
The dish was cooked on a makeshift banana leaf bowl and stirred with a bamboo stick.
Local Yu said: ‘We cooked the sour fish without using fire. We heat the rocks and place them in the soup until it's hot. It's a healthy and traditional meal.'
