A kind pedestrian stopped traffic to help an elderly woman cross the road.

Kobe Bryant Ballega, 25, was with his girlfriend Analisa Manliguez, when they saw the frail woman waiting by the zebra crossing in Davao province, the Philippines on February 14.

Without having second thoughts, the helpful boyfriend rushed to assist the senior lady in reaching the other side of the road safely.

Footage shows Kobe, named after the late basketball player, holding the woman's arms as they walked across the busy motorway together. He was seen motioning to drivers to stop to keep the woman safe.

Proud girlfriend Analisa said: ‘I am so happy to be with someone compassionate. He treats everyone with the same kindness as the people he loved.'

The old woman reached her destination safely while the lovebirds continued their Valentine's day date.
