A concerned local followed crying sounds to find puppies abandoned under rocks.

Nisarut Ngoenngam was walking to the temple when she heard a strange noise coming from behind the thick bushes in Lopburi province, Thailand on February 9.

Footage shows Nisarut heading to the whimpering sounds. She found the three puppies crawling on dirt and rocks.

Two of the litter were lying alongside each other while their white sibling was stuck between two rocks.

Nisarut said: ‘The person who dumped them here is truly heartless. How could that person leave the dogs to die here?

‘They're just little puppies. They were so hungry when I found them, it was heartbreaking.'

The dogs were taken home and fed with milk. Nisarut would take care of them until someone volunteered to adopt them.
