In the footage, we can see that the cause of the accident is the reckless driving demonstrated by the probationary driver. He was approaching the intersection and did not bother to check for the oncoming traffic from the other direction. As a result, the SUV was sideswiped and sustained damages. Drivers, especially probationary ones, need to be more careful while pulling into oncoming traffic.
