Firefighters in Padang, Indonesia, rescued a cat stuck in a house's roof by jangling sets of keys to lure the feline out.

Footage from March 14 shows the officials climbing the roof whilst jangling the keys in an attempt to get the cat to exit the roof.

After around an hour the cat appeared and was able to be evacuated from the roof.

Head of the fire department Sutan Hendra said: "Based on the owner's report, the cat had been trapped for two days and could not get out of the platform of his neighbour's house, the man finally contacted the fire department.

"The sound of the key clucking technique functions to make the cat sensitive to the sound and approach the sound by adding a calling tone.. pusss... pusss, with patience the cat can be evacuated."

getting reports from cat owners, 5 firefighters evacuated to the location. it's hard to reach the whereabouts of the cat on the platform, the firefighters team lures the cat by making sounds from the key clicking.

almost 30 minutes to no avail, firefighters tried to evacuate the house after obtaining permission from the home owner. Then two firefighters tried to reach the cat to the smallest corner of the ceiling.

because it is difficult to reach, the unique technique of picking up the sound of the keys is again carried out. As a result, one hour lasted, finally the cat could be evacuated from the platform and immediately handed over to its owner.
