A kind hiker carried a scared dog across a wobbly makeshift bridge hanging over a cliff.

Kitt Tabamo visited the waterfalls with her girlfriend when they passed by the stray pooch along the trail in Davao City, the Philippines on March 4.

She said it attempted to cross the rusty structure but failed so she gave it a lift.

Footage shows Kitt carefully walking along the 40ft-long narrow pathway without railings while holding the dog.

Her girlfriend Mary Dianne Reguyal said: ‘We saw the dog attempting to cross the bridge many times but it was too frightened.

'So we decided to help by carrying the dog across because the area was remote.'

The pair reached the other end safely and the pooch ran back to the village.
