EXTENDED VIDEO - Terrifying moment plane is bounced around by gale force winds at Birmingham Airport
This was the horrifying moment pilots coming into land at Birmingham's BHX Airport earned their wings as they battled fierce crosswind on Monday (13 March).
A Loganair flight from the Isle of Man to Birmingham was rocked in all directions on approach as strong winds of 55mph buffeted the incoming flights.
As the aircraft got closer to the runway, the plane was lifted back up and shifted to the side, before touching down on one wheel and then tipped diagonally towards the tarmac.
Even on the ground, the plane was still forced left and right by the force of the wind whilst skidding and sliding along the runway.
The pilots eventually regained control and taxied off to the terminal.
