A pickup truck carrying fuel tanks overturned after colliding with an 18-wheeler at an intersection in Thailand.

The vehicles were passing through the junction at Route 3314 in Saraburi province on March 12 at 4 PM. However, since the traffic lights in the area were out of order, they both sped through the intersection, resulting in the accident.

Surveillance footage shows how the 18-wheeler slammed into the pickup truck's right side, sending both careening towards shops lining the road.

Dozens of fuel cylinders were strewn on the pavement after the truck flipped over, while the 18-wheeler had slammed into a post and dragged it along.

Local firefighters brought two fire trucks to spray the area to prevent the fuel tanks from igniting and exploding.

No one was reported injured in the accident.

Police said that both drivers misjudged their distance from each other and tried to rush through the intersection before crashing. They were summoned to the local police station for questioning.
