Roads were submerged as heavy rain triggered floods that killed at least one in southeast Turkey.

Footage shows brown floodwater churning outside buildings, leaving locals stranded in Sanliurfa city on March 15. Classes at schools today were cancelled in the city due to the deluge.

Local media reported that at least one person died while four others were missing in the heavily flooded Tut district of Adiyaman province.

The Turkish State Meteorological Service raised an orange warning over the southeast region for March 14 to 20.
