"She is literally the other half of me, half of my soul; she completes me and she is one of the biggest reasons why I keep fighting," were some very heartwarming words said by Ruth Spurr for her assistant/medical alert dog, Willow.

As someone giving it her all to fight for her life while living with a number of complex, rare, and debilitating conditions, Ruth considers herself immensely fortunate to have a pal who has been by her side throughout the bumpy ride.

This beautiful clip features Ruth reuniting with Willow. The way the pup is wagging her tail and finding it hard to act calmly, shows that she's as much excited to see her human again as the other way around.

"Willow helps me with daily life, fetching items I drop, bringing named items like my meds, my meds bags, my phone, keys, a drink, and much more," the filmer shared with WooGlobe. "She also opens and closes doors, helps me get undressed, and alerts to one of my heart conditions with a 2-5 minute warning before I lose consciousness."
