A workout fanatic has shared the secrets to his incredible figure – including making up his own crazy routines like having watermelons thrown at his abs, underwater crunches and bouncing balls while pushing weights.

Cory Rosenthal grew up in a fitness-obsessed family and says he has always had a love for working out.

When younger, his dad opened a gym in his hometown of Marlboro, New Jersey, US, which provided him with unlimited access and allowed the then teen to meet some of the most skilled trainers in the fitness industry.

Now 21 years old, Cory wants to inspire others and is well on his way, with almost 100,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok (@coryrosenthal).

“I consider myself incredibly fortunate and it's an advantage that I will never take for granted,” Cory said.

“Starting my fitness journey at 16 and being around my father and the gym, it was inspiring and instilled a drive in me to pursue my own passion for working out.”

But Cory’s workout routines aren’t for the faint-hearted.

Over the years, he has come up with some unusual ways to achieve the best results possible – and he’s in the gym every day of the week.

He added: “My weekly workout regime is based on creativity and soreness.

“I wake up to see what feels the least sore and put together a unique fitness routine.

“I never go a day in the gym without someone coming up to me and asking in a comical way what on earth I’m training for as my routines are very unusual and unpredictable, most of it is what I find most challenging and most fun.

“Should I balance on a ball, should I involve water, should I have someone punch me in the abs?

“I don't believe in rest days either, I am in the gym seven days a week for up to two hours a day.”

His videos often go viral, with one clip racking up over 1.7 million likes and 200,000 likes.

In it, Cory can be seen hanging upside down by a swimming pool, while doing crunches, dipping half his body in the water each time.

He can then be seen lifting weights on a balance board while someone punches him in the stomach, walking backwards on a treadmill while lifting gym equipment, and doing pull-ups while being attached to a wheelbarrow.

He also uses ironing boards and buckets as extra equipment.

In a different video, where he gained over 680,000 views and 70,000 likes, Cory can be seen doing crunches on the floor while a friend throws watermelons at his stomach.

He can then be seen treading across balance boards while holding weights, lifting his body mass plus a desk chair, and using a sofa as a leg press.

In another viral video which gathered 3.3 million views and 467,000 likes and comments from baffled social media users, Cory shows himself doing push-up handstands, and plunging his head into a bucket of water every time he reaches the floor.

He is then seen doing pull-ups out of a wheelbarrow filled with water and bouncing a ping pong ball while pressing weights.

He also does push-ups while balancing on weights before showing himself bouncing a basketball while standing on a balance board.

Social media users can’t believe their eyes.

Payten said: “Dude's balance has to be insane.”

Alex added: “He must like water.”

Hedi said: “Bros training to be an Avenger.”

Cory finds the comments very entertaining and it only inspires him to push his workouts further.

He added: “The responses I've received on TikTok have been truly humbling.

“It's been incredible to see how many people have reached out to me for fitness advice or to simply share a laugh with a funny comment.

“It's truly an honour to be able to connect with so many people in this way.

“Looking back on my fitness journey, it’s crazy, and some of the craziest and most challenging workouts I've done involved water training.

“These workouts always come with a major risk of drowning, but I enjoyed the challenge nonetheless.

“I've done everything from hanging upside down and getting hit in the abs to doing handstand presses with my head submerged in a bucket of water.

“Backflips and other challenging moves are also some of my favorites to try out.

“I would be remiss not to mention completing a 10-mile bear crawl.

“While these feats are a source of pride for me, I still have so much more to learn and accomplish in my fitness journey.”
