The Buddhist temple built bathrooms with unique colours designated for each day of the week, as well as additional bathrooms specifically designed for non-binary genders.

In an effort to create a distinctive tourist attraction, the Chiang Thong Temple in Phayao, Thailand, constructed bathrooms painted with the seven colours associated with each day of the week.

Temple manager Taleng Kamngern said on March 16 that the temple's abbot Phra Kru Paijitdhammaporn presented the idea for these unique bathrooms.

His intention was to encourage superstitious visitors to use the bathroom corresponding to the day of the week they were born.

He said 18 bathrooms are being built for everyone including non-binary genders and children.

He said that they were not finished yet but they will be completed soon.

Phra Kru Paijitdhammaporn added that the Chiang Thong Temple is a popular tourist destination in Phayao, particularly among Buddhist visitors.
