Loving pet buffalo cuddles up with owner like a puppy
This affectionate pet buffalo won locals' hearts when it cuddled up with its owner like a puppy.
The 15-month-old calf named Saen Aek was seen nuzzling owner Nattapol Kampan, 33, as he slept on a cot before a buffalo contest in Khon Kaen province, Thailand, on January 29.
Nattapol said the gentle giant had caught his eye, so he bought it for 390,000 THB (11,390 USD) when it was only around seven months old.
The pair had developed a strong bond, with Nattapol feeding, bathing, and walking Saen Aek regularly.
In return, the young buffalo liked to tease him.
He said: 'I didn't think there would be so many people who would like Saen Aek, so I'm happy.
'All kinds of animals will return its owner's love if treated with affection.'
He added that he loved Saen Aek like his own child, despite it failing to bag any awards at buffalo contests.
