Nearly blind cobalt blue tarantula attacks prey with impressive, lightning-fast speed
Footage shows a nearly blind cobalt blue pet tarantula (Cyriopagopus lividus) attacking its prey with impressive, lightning-fast speed on March 18 in Moore, Oklahoma.
The filmer told Newsflare: "I was feeding my pet tarantula at the mouth of her deep, dark burrow. Though nearly blind, she waits patiently, gathering information from vibrations to triangulate exactly where the injured roach is before launching an extremely fast and accurate strike, taking the doomed insect to the bottom of her lair to devour alive."
