Pet lovers had a hilarious dog-carrying competition to see how long they could hold their pooches.

The amusing game was part of the 'Dog-Lympic' event held inside a shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand on March 19.

Footage shows the large fluffy pooches being lifted by their owners. While some of the lazier pooches enjoyed the embracing, an impatient Siberian Husky tried to wriggle free of his master's arms.

However, the competitive man held out until he successfully calmed his pet down.

Onlooker Yoswadee, who attended the event, said: 'It's a test of patience and strength. They must have been very tired but everyone enjoyed the game.'

The silly game progressed as time passed, with the organisers asking them to do challenges such as annoy each other, walk around in a circle, and do squats while holding the dogs.

In the end, a gentle white Husky and his owner won the game.

Yoswadee said: ‘He trained the dog very well. It shows during the game how well-behaved the pooch was.'
