Police in Pekanbaru, Indonesia, used a road roller to flatten thousands of bottles of ceased alcohol.

In total, 15,862 alcoholic drinks were squashed by police officers. Ceased drugs were also destroyed including 83.27kg of methamphetamine and 55,456 ecstasy pills.

Riau Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Mohammad Iqbal said the activity of destroying evidence from the condition copyright operation would be broadcast and made viral to the public for the public to see.

"This is broadcast as a form of bad deeds or examples and the perpetrators of crimes should not play around during Ramadan."

Riau Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Mohammad Iqbal, led the destruction of evidence of drugs, liquor (alcohol). The total evidence destroyed was 83.27 kilograms of methamphetamine, 55,456 ecstasy pills, 15,862 bottles of various brands of liquor and mixtures.

Inspector General Iqbal stressed that he would not hesitate to take firm action against perpetrators of crimes that threaten public safety

"For the perpetrators of crime, we emphasize not to disturb the comfort of the community in worship, if they do we will take firm action," he stressed.
