This is the impressive moment a talented Thai woman caught and tamed a deadly cobra.

The animal rescue volunteer Khetsaraporn Boonsuk responded to the scene when residents reported the venomous snake sighting in Phitsanulok province, Thailand on February 27.

With the help of colleagues, she found the serpent hiding behind a shoe cabinet and fearlessly dragged it into the street.

Footage shows Khetsaraporn pulling the snake on its tail before it tries to bite her on her ankle. She was able to dodge it and took it into the middle of the road where there was a bigger space.

While calming the snake down, she slowly placed her left hand on the animal's head until she could pin it down and secure it on the neck.

Khetsaraporn said: ‘I like to study snakes. Different species are found around my province, so I think it's important that we know about them.'

The reptile enthusiast and her fellow volunteers returned the snake to their facility before it was released into the wild.
