A wooden board fell from the sky and hit a passing woman, causing her to collapse on the ground in southern China.

CCTV footage filmed in the city of Yueyang in Hunan Province on March 14 shows an around 2-metre-long and 0.6-metre-wide wooden board suddenly falling down and striking a woman’s arm.

Another item, an old wooden mop, fell to the ground two metres away from her.

According to a nearby shop owner named Zhou, the woman suffered from bleeding and was immediately taken to the hospital. She was not in a life-threatening condition.

The owner of the board has been found and is under investigation regarding compensation. The incident is believed to have occurred due to strong winds that blew the board off a balcony where it was being used for decoration.

从监控资料中可以发现，女子双手提有袋子，忽然一块长约2米，宽约60公分的木板从天而降，砸到了女子的手臂上。假若女子再多往前走一步，木板将正中女子头部，后果将不堪设想。随着木板一起落下的还有一只老式木拖把，拖把在离女子有2米的地方坠地。
据附近商户周先生介绍，该女子有被砸出血，已被送医救治，没有生命危险。目前木板的主人已找到，当时风比较大，装修用的板子放在阳台上被风吹了下来，具体赔偿事宜还在进一步调查处理中。
