Residents released a hapless frog from the jaws of a tree snake.

The creature had seemingly accepted its fate as it was locked in the bite of a serpent hanging on the beams of a home in Kanchanaburi province, Thailand on February 27.

But it managed to live another day as a resident noticed what was happening and decided to help it.

Footage shows a house owner using barbecue tongs to separate them and free the frog.

Resident Pleareerat said: ‘We felt bad if the frog died inside our home. We thought of helping it, and the snake can get food elsewhere.'
