Residents of Sambalpur, a city in the eastern state of Odisha, India, took to the streets on Wednesday (March 22) to protest against Tata Power's arbitrary power operations and problems with water supply. The residents, who have been facing issues with power cuts and low water pressure, marched towards the District Magistrate's office to submit a reminder letter.

The protest was organized by local residents' groups who claim that Tata Power, a subsidiary of the Tata Group, has been operating in an arbitrary manner and has not been meeting the city's power demands. They allege that the company has been causing frequent power outages, which have been affecting daily life, including the functioning of hospitals and educational institutions.
