Incredible, heart-pounding POV clip shows daredevil FREE CLIMBING 1,500ft-crane in Manhattan
Adrenaline-packed footage shows a man in New York free climbing a 1,500-foot-plus crane in Manhattan on March 19.
The New York-born-and-bred daredevil, who wishes to remain anonymous, shared his backstory and history of climbing with Newsflare:
"I'm just your average kid from New York, born in one of the best boroughs in Queens. I’ve been climbing skyscrapers, cranes, and bridges since 2018 when I initially first picked up a camera and tried involving myself in photography for the first time. Getting into these places sometimes takes weeks, even months of personal homework -- doing your own kind of surveillance in a sense. Without saying too much, having a point of entry and exit are the two most important factors that come into place when getting into these places.
"The first time I climbed something of such high altitude was actually the Williamsburg Bridge in New York in the middle of the night by myself. I gotta say, that was the night I managed to lose my sh*t and get it all back together in such a fast glimpse. I was terrified. It’s a breathtaking and incredible feeling being up in these places, the rush, the adrenaline and most importantly, the views.
"The reason why I do what I do is due to the dramatic views in this city that your average Joe is not accustomed to seeing, because, we’re so focused to see what’s in front of us, the madness of people, cars, buildings, and not from a place of tranquility, above."
