A kind resident revived an unconscious gecko with CPR using a cotton swab.

Adisak Yuri found the stagnant lizard on his bedroom floor in Chiang Mai province, Thailand on March 21.

For a moment, he thought the creature was already dead but rushed to save the animal when he saw its legs twitch.

Footage shows Adisak's hand holding the personal hygiene material to gently apply pressure on its chest.

He said: ‘I performed CPR to save the little lizard's life. I am so happy when it responded after a few minutes.'

He talked to the lizard during the procedure seemingly to calm the dazed creature.

After a few pumps into its chest, he then rubbed the swab onto its face, tails, and legs to encourage it to move.

It took almost five minutes before the lizard sprung up to life and crawled under a cabinet to hide.
