A woman was captured shaking a cherry blossom tree for her friend to create a picturesque scene for her video in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Wuxi in Jiangsu Province on March 22, shows a woman violently shaking a cherry blossom tree to let the petals fall, while another woman was filming their friend dancing under the tree.

The shocking video has sparked anger on Chinese social media. A netizen commented: "They should be on the park's blacklist".

Another said: "You would not look pretty even when the petals fall."
