A man narrowly avoided injury when a window plunged from a building in China.

The glass with a frame just missed a man's backside when it fell 80 feet to the ground. CCTV footage shows a man talking to two others washing a car outside an apartment block in Yantai, Shandong province, eastern China.

Moments later, a huge window - complete with frame - crashed down from a fifth-floor apartment.

As it hit the ground just inches from the man's backside, it shattered, spraying shards of glass everywhere.

A dog sitting behind the vehicle ran away and luckily escaped injury from the flying glass.

One car washer Ou said that just before the crash, he heard a woman from an upstairs apartment shout.

Afterwards, Ou called the police and learned that the window fell off when the residents on the fifth floor were trying to clean the glass.

The two parties later settled and the man was compensated with CNY 500 (£60) for his shock.
