A 6-year-old boy attempted to save his younger brother from choking on candy in eastern China.

Heartwarming CCTV footage filmed in the city of Lianyungang in Jiangsu Province on March 20 shows a 3-year-old boy suddenly choking on candy and his 6-year-old older brother rushing to rescue him.

The older boy was heard saying, "I don't want to lose my little brother," while administering a series of blows aimed at dislodging the stuck candy from his younger brother's throat.

Luckily, the younger boy was finally able to spit the candy out.

The boys' mother named Xiaoxiao praised her older son's bravery, saying that although his rescue strategy may not have been ideal, his willingness to do whatever it took to save his sibling was truly admirable.

The video was provided by Xiaoxiao.
