Ten amazing green oasis parks to escape pollution in urban jungle Bangkok
Pollution from agricultural burning and soaring traffic has been choking the Thailand capital city Bangkok - with levels of toxic smog and pM2.5 rising to make it one of the worst cities in the world for air quality.
This video shows 10 lush green parks in the sprawling urban jungle that can provide a refreshing break, bringing much needed peace and quite to residents and tourists who find themselves in the Southeast Asia city.

Bang Krachao: Bang Krachao is a lush, green oasis found on the outskirts of Bangkok. It is often referred to as Bangkok's 'Green Lung' due to its location on a large bend of the Chao Phraya River and its abundant flora and fauna. Visitors can explore the area by renting bicycles or taking a guided tour
Benchasiri Park: Benchasiri Park opened in 1984 in honor of the 60th birthday of Queen Sirikit, the queen consort of King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The park covers an area of 29 rai (approximately 11 acres) and is situated near the popular shopping district of Sukhumvit. The park is named after the Girl Scouts of Thailand or 'Benchasiri' in Thai, who donated the land for the park's construction.
Benchakitti Park: Benchakitti Park is one of the largest parks in the city. The area is known for its large lake, which is a popular destination for jogging, cycling, and paddle boating. There are also several walking paths and bike lanes throughout the park, making it an ideal place for outdoor exercise and recreation.
Benchakitti Forest Park: The Benchakitti Forest Park is the newest area of recreational green space in Bangkok. It was built on the site of a former tobacco plant and now has rare species of wildlife. The raised walkways are especially popular for selfies as the sun sets.
Lumphini Park: Lumphini Park covers an area of approximately 142 acres (58 hectares). It's an ideal place to relax while visiting the area's famous weekend market, which is located adjacent to the park.
Wachirabenjathat Park: Wachirabenjathat Park, also known as Suan Rod Fai or the Railway Park, is a public park located in the Chatuchak district of Bangkok. It is also a habitat for many bird species, making it a popular destination for birdwatchers. The park has several large lakes and ponds that are home to turtles and fish, adding to the natural beauty of the area.
Queen Sirikit Park: Queen Sirikit Park opened in 1992 to celebrate the 60th birthday of Queen Sirikit, the queen consort of Thailand. One of the most interesting features is the Thai Heritage Garden, which showcases traditional Thai architecture and culture. The garden features several traditional Thai houses and buildings, including a rice barn, a water pavilion, and a spirit house.
Suan Luang Rama IX Park: Suan Luang Rama IX Park has a large lake in the center surrounded by lush gardens, a variety of trees, and colorful flower beds. It also features several themed gardens, including a Chinese garden, a European garden, and a cactus garden. The museum also houses a library, a research center, and a laboratory where visitors can learn about plant cultivation and research.
Rommaninat Park: Rommaninat Park was built on the site of Bangkok's former prison.
