The Indonesian National Search and Rescue Agency have noted that there were four ship accidents in the territorial waters of the province of West Sumatra due to heavy rain and high waves on Saturday, March 25.

Of the four accidents, three accidents occurred in the Mentawai Islands region.

"There have been three fishing boat accidents in the Mentawai Islands region. Of the three accidents, the total number of victims was 15 people. Of the 15 people, only six were declared safe, and nine people are still being searched," said a local officer.

Meanwhile, one accident point was recorded in the waters of Pasaman Regency with a total number of 12 fishermen.
