The Penengahan Sector Police in South Lampung have successfully foiled a modified sarong war action that was going to be held by dozens of teenagers in the area. The police received a report from the community and immediately went to the location where the action was suspected to be held.

Upon arriving at the location, the teenage students tried to escape, but the police managed to catch and examine them. From the examination, the police found modified sarongs and sharp weapons that the teenagers used in the action.

The teenagers admitted that the sarong war action was carried out after the tarawih prayer and before the sahur. They also shared their sarong war action on social media. This action is considered to have the potential to cause clashes between young people that disturb public order during Ramadan.

The Head of the Penengahan Sector Police, Inspector One Gobel, said that the police have increased patrols to prevent brawls that have been occurring recently. Dozens of teenagers who were involved in the action were then taken to the Penengahan Sector Police Station for further examination and to give a deterrent effect to these young people.
