Three cute but deadly newborn baby cobras hissed and lunged at each other.

The siblings met for the first time after hatching inside a plastic container in Chainat province, Thailand on March 18.

But instead of being friendly with each other, the juvenile serpents ferociously duelled inside the box.

Footage shows the pink cobra babies striking each other in the box. A third cobra was caught in the fight and pounced on the other snakes to protect itself.

The eggs surrounding them inside the makeshift nest had amusing faces drawn into them.

Snake breeder Apatsaraporn said: ‘The baby cobras are so adorable but really fierce. Their scales haven't adjusted to their new environment yet but they were already fighting.'

A young cobra has enough venom to kill a person. However, it still takes them a few days to learn how to bite after hatching.

Younger cobras are actually more dangerous than older cobras, which have learned how to limit the amount of venom they release - or inflict 'dry bites' without any venom as a purely defensive strike.
