A vigorous female octogenarian climbed up to a tree on her own for picking in Xuchang, Henan, China.

Video filmed by her son on March 20 shows an 80-year-old lady standing on an elm tree to pick its samara.

The lady had reached the top of the elm tree before her son, Wang, and other family member realized it. Wang, therefore, did not film the process of climbing.

The son says his mother is very diligent by nature and climbs up the tree every year in this season.

She always does farm work like picking and planting, and the kinsfolk are not able to discourage her from doing dangerous work sometimes.

According to Wang, the members will pay more attention to the granny and continue dissuading her not climbing up anymore.

It is said that the ladders under the tree were prepared by other villagers.
