An alert cop acted in time to prevent further damage after a passenger slipped and fell while boarding a moving train in northern India's Uttar Pradesh.

The incident is reported to have happened at platform number one of Amroha railway station on March 26.

CCTV footage captured the passenger's nasty fall and him getting dragged by the train after he had tried to board the moving vehicle. Identified as a 57-year-old named Javed Aslam, slipped while getting on the train but got dragged by the vehicle for quite some distance before the cop rushed to his aid. Aslam almost fell into the gap between the train and the platform but CT Mohammad Wasim and on duty TTE Kailash Chand. Aslam seemed to have lost consciousness and had blood dripping out of his head.

It was learnt later that Wasim dialled 108 and got Aslam admitted to the Community Health Centre, where he has given first aid. His family members too were informed and now, Aslam is said to be fine.
