This is the terrifying moment a creepy neighbour broke into a resident's garage to sniff her underwear.

The motorcycle rider was apparently familiar with the property, parking right next to his target's house in the Hat Yai District of Songkhla province before dawn on March 25.

He shimmied into a narrow side alley and hopped over the low wall towards the homeowner's clothesline, where bras and panties were hung out to dry.

He then buried his nose in the underwear and inhaled the scent before also sniffing the shoes left at the entrance.

Without taking anything, the man then returned to his vehicle and drove away.

Residents said it was not the first time the rider had dropped by. They have filed a report with the police and submitted the footage as evidence.

Officers are now searching for the suspect, who is believed to be a local man in his mid-30s.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Kanit Tengthing said: 'The victim was upset. They brought all of the CCTV to the station but they do not know who the man is.

'We are hoping to catch the offender soon. Other people have made complaints and we have more images of him. We are investigating him for trespassing.'
