Footage shows three people running to share the rainbow-coloured canopy in Cebu province, the Philippines on January 11.
More students rushed to shelter under the device and even followed it around when its owner walked away.
Onlooker Elmo Modequillo said: ‘The umbrella was a hit. My friend didn't want to get wet in the rain so he brought it with him.'
