Relaxed wild boar family live next to canal pier in Bangkok
Footage shows a relaxed wild boar family that live next to a bustling canal pier in Bangkok.
The pig family, consisting of four adults and five babies or a total of nine healthy swines, can be seen every day roaming around the Thewes Pier in the Phra Nakhon area of the capital of Thailand.
Despite the creatures being undomesticated and particularly smelly, they were friendly to passing tourists and locals that regularly hand them food.
Footage shows the animals resting on the dirt floor outside a government office building. The pigs also love to roll around the muddy puddles that collect next to plant boxes after rainy days.
A commuter said: 'The mother pig took care of her young. She sometimes nurses them while taking a nap next to the ramp that lead to the pier.'
The Thewes Pier is also a popular street food spot so it is usually crowded but the pig family reportedly did not hurt anyone.
The creatures currently stayed in the area but it was unclear if local officials have any plans of relocating them.
