An explosion occurred at the Pertamina oil refinery in Dumai, Indonesia, causing concern among local residents. However, the state-owned oil company Pertamina quickly responded and ensured that the situation was under control.

Agustiawan, the Public Relations Manager of Pertamina's Dumai Refinery Unit II, stated that the fire had been successfully extinguished and residents were asked to remain calm. The company guaranteed to take responsibility for the impact caused by the explosion.

"The fire at the Pertamina Dumai Refinery has been successfully extinguished. We ask residents to remain calm. Pertamina will be responsible for the impact of the explosion. We ask for your cooperation," said Agustiawan.

Pertamina's management, along with local government and authorities, has been deployed to calm residents and conduct data collection related to the incident.

"We will be coming down tonight to do data collection," he said.

Meanwhile, Dumai Mayor Paisal was seen at the Pertamina Dumai Refinery site to calm residents and listen to complaints about the explosion at the refinery.

"Please be patient because the situation is being handled. Let there be no provocation," said Mayor Paisal.

The explosion incident at the Pertamina Dumai Refinery is still under investigation. However, Pertamina has ensured that the situation is under control and will take all necessary actions to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
