An explosion at a cafe in St Petersburg, Russia, killed a pro-war Russian military blogger and injured 30 others. Vladlen Tatarsky, a well-known figure in the Russian blogosphere, was holding a discussion at the venue when the blast occurred.

The footage shows the moment after the incident. The video features images of people covered in blood and shattered glass outside the venue.

Some Russian media outlets reported that the blogger was presented with a statue that allegedly had a bomb hidden inside. Newsflare is unable to verify this claim.

Eyewitnesses said they heard a loud noise from Blagoveshchensky Bridge. The sidewalk was then hit by shattered glass and debris.

Tatarsky, a supporter of the war in Ukraine, had more than 560,000 followers on Telegram.

Russian authorities have not yet confirmed who is responsible for the explosion at Street Food Bar No 1 cafe. Tatarsky's death is now being investigated as a "high-profile murder".

Sky News reported that according to a St Petersburg website, the business previously belonged to Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of the private army group Wagner Group that is fighting for Russia in Ukraine.
