On April 2, a massive landslide occurred near the T5 tunnel in the Panthyal area of the Ramban district in northern India's Jammu and Kashmir. Large stones tumbled down from the mountain onto the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, as vehicles were passing through. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

The incident was captured on video, showing the rocks crashing down and a huge cloud of dust enveloping the highway. A massive boulder is also seen rolling over. As a result, traffic was disrupted on both sides of the tunnel.

In the wake of the landslide, Ramban's deputy commissioner has called for the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to conduct a technical assessment of the situation.
