Out-of-control pick-up flips over after ramming front of shop in Thailand
This is the shocking moment an out-of-control pick-up truck rammed the front of a shop in Thailand.
The vehicle was speeding along a curved road and hit a barrier on the median strip before it was sent careening towards the plant shop in Chonburi province on April 3.
It then struck a lamppost and cartwheeled through the air.
Police Major Wirat Trakoonthai of the Ban Bueng Police and a rescue team went to the scene after receiving a report at 6:30 PM.
They found the wreckage of the pick-up truck, with its front left tire detached and its bonnet crumpled from the crash. Several plant pots had also been shattered.
Medics gave first aid to the unnamed driver, who was taken to the Ban Bueng Hospital for treatment.
Sureewan Sukprasert, 46, said the road outside her shop was bumpy, possibly causing the truck to lose control and ram into her store.
She said: 'I was sitting just 10 metres away from where the truck crashed. Thankfully, the driver was wearing a seatbelt and only had minor injuries.'
Worker Duean Yonjaitan, 37, said she usually worked in front of the shop, but escaped harm when she decided to stay inside that day due to the heat.
Police said they will summon the driver for questioning after being discharged.
