A caring Golden Retriever carried a kitten like it's her own puppy.

The six-month-old pooch Lucky found the feline wandering away from its mother's nest and decided to safe keep it in the meantime in Kalasin province, Thailand on February 8.

Footage shows Lucky biting the cat's nape lightly to carry it around. She rested by the net surrounding their backyard and snuggled with the creature.

Pet owner Suriyass said the kitten was born from an adopted stray mother cat that recently lived with them.

Suriyass said: ‘Our dog might be thinking that she's responsible for the new members of our family. I love the way she cares for them.'

The baby feline, however, escaped the dog's embrace again and ran off back inside the house.
