Video captured the moment a Russian man fell from the 19th floor of a building in Voronezh and survived with only minor injuries.

The incident occurred on 3 April on Kolesnichenko Street when a 40-year-old man fell onto the roof of a Nissan X-Trail SUV.

The vehicle broke his fall and while he was hospitalised with head and spinal injuries they were reported to be relatively minor. Certainly less severe than surely inevitable death had the car not been there.

According to doctors at the Voronezh hospital where he was treated, he had a mild skull-brain injury and one small bone fracture.

However, doctors decided to keep him in the hospital “because such blows do not pass without a trace.”

The man had reportedly been drinking and after being rescued by firefighters, he even began singing a song.
