Leopard strays into house in central India, captured
A leopard shocked the inhabitants of a house by sneaking into it and eating their goats, in central India's Madhya Pradesh.
This incident is reported to have happened in Mhow, Indore on April 8.
Visuals showed the leopard being captured by the forest department officials with a net after they tranquilised the animal. A huge crowd had gathered at the spot to catch a glimpse of the big cat. According to a report, the leopard entered the house of a man named Gyan Singh and his wife Sangeeta spotted it eating their goats after she had gone to drink water. She informed her family members and the door of the house was closed from outside. The forest departed was informed and they arrived at the spot to capture the wild animal.
They first tranquilised it using a dart gun and then put a net over it to capture it. The leopard killed seven cattle which belonged to the family. The leopard was taken away and it was learnt that it would be released soon.
